Finally bought the dumbbells. As always, upon the order's arrival, some quirks surfaced that had gone unnoticed before.
The dumbbells are made of a lighter metal compared to professional rubberized ones. Therefore, the bar is very long, and the plates are large. Because of this, holding them is not very comfortable in some cases, especially considering the sharp edges here and there. Plus, the knurling on the bar meant to improve grip is excessively rough, which creates the need for gloves. No other flaws have been noticed, and so I'm happy overall. I'll be heaving these contraptions whenever I get the chance, so that my muscles and brawn become rope-like, just like my terminator robot friend Valerych's.
Today I brought only 15 kg from Riga to Daugavpils in the form of 1 bar and plates. Because 40KG would have obviously ripped the handle off either the bag, or me. And so the rest is waiting for the coming weeks.
