Even in such a shitty rock genre as Russian pop rock, you can find good bands. A couple of years ago, on Zvuki.Ru, I heard the St. Petersburg slackers "Polyusa" and their killer hit "Poetry", which simply blew me away. Then I listened to their demo recording there, and I still like it even more than the release because it has an exceptionally soft and warm sound. A very homely feeling. And the song "Poetry" was badly spoiled by the elaborate arrangement and lighter guitars — it should be ferocious, raw, and roaring, the way it was on the demo recording.
In the end, I’m posting the official release after all, while the demo can be downloaded from Zvuki. Especially the song Poetry — be sure to download it from there!

Ease of listening: 5.
This is certainly not the lightest pop music, but it comes close. Music for introspective, educated girls, I suppose. The unconventional poetic meter appeals to me.
