I took the fan that came with my AMD Athlon 64 processor and adapted it to cool the hard drives. To keep it from humming, I connected the wires in a special way to lower the voltage to 7 volts instead of the standard 12 (the fan's red wire to the yellow wire on the power connector, and the fan's black wire to the red wire on the power connector).
The processor itself is cooled by a powerful and beautiful Zalman Cu7000 cooler (600 grams of pure copper, by the way)
