Demo

What is a demo?
A demo is a program, usually a small one, designed to demonstrate the skills of the designers and developers who created it.
It looks like abstract (and sometimes not so abstract) moving images and special effects, accompanied by instrumental (usually electronic) music.
To appreciate its beauty, you don't necessarily have to understand computers, or be a programmer.
But to appreciate the titanic effort and art of the people who created it, it is highly desirable.
However, as the saying goes, it is better to see it once than hear about it a hundred times.
For speed and to save space on the site, only Demos in the 64K Intro (up to 64 kilobytes) and 4k Intro categories are hosted.
Here you can see just how much can actually fit into such a tiny size.
These aren't your 80 MB video clips!

Poem To A Horse - IMHO one of the best demos of all time.
pk is dead is an example of an average, good demo.
helleven is another chill demo of a decent level.

Rise - A planet of cubes, I like it.

P.S. For these demos to run well, a more powerful computer is recommended, and it is especially important to install the latest video card drivers. Some require a 3D accelerator.
They all work in OS Windows 9x/2k/xp.
