Gorokhov jokingly dubbed it prog folk. AllMusic keeps it simpler, calling it Alternative folk.
I like the sound of some of the tracks—in this one, for instance, the guitar has this pleasantly drawn-out rasp, which is something I enjoy.

Overall, of course, there's a bit too much singer-songwriter stuff and vocals, but it doesn't sound too dreary, so I'll keep it in my collection.
