Arizona – 2, Road to Sedona

Landscapes of Arizonaland. Some sort of variety is present.

View from a car window of an asphalt road with a metal guardrail, passing along a steep slope with dry grass and green shrubs under a concrete overpass bridge. A bright blue sky with light cirrus clouds stretches over the landscape. Even in the middle of the desert at an intersection –  a viaduct (a bridge not over water)

View from the shoulder of an asphalt road with a metal guardrail of a semi-desert hilly landscape under a blue sky with light clouds. Near the road, there are road signs for 'Sycamore Creek' and 'Tonto National Forest', and mountains rise in the background.

View from a highway of a hilly terrain under a blue sky, where smoke from a fire rises on the slope of one of the distant mountains. In the foreground, behind the asphalt road, a wooden guardrail is installed. Nowadays in hot countries and states they often set prescribed burns. I think This is one of them

The highway stretches into the distance under a clear blue sky, on the right rises a steep hill with reddish soil and small trees. Mountains are visible in the distance on the left, and a white car is driving along the road. The rocks are beautiful

A dirt road leads to a closed metal gate in the middle of a sunny forest of coniferous and bare deciduous trees. On the right, a massive leafless tree hangs over the gate, and a grazing animal can be seen in the distance.

This is us driving god knows where following the GPS. As you can see, there are regular coniferous trees in Arizona too.

The decomposing remains of a deer with small antlers lie on the ground among dry leaves and branches in the forest.

And also regular elk corpses

A white car with open front doors is parked on the shoulder near a pine forest, with a person sitting at the wheel. Next to the road, a red 'STOP' sign is visible under a blue sky.
The rented car – a Chevrolet Cobalt

day2 026 There are bushes too

A white pickup truck with a dog in the bed drives along a winding highway against the backdrop of arid hills and distant mountains.Dogs are transported in the cargo bed at speeds over 100 km/h

By the characteristic red rocks and sand, you can immediately tell that Sedona is ahead
