I already posted the link on Twitter, but since I have a comment to add, I'll write it here too. M.I.A. in an interview calls out Lady Gaga for being unoriginal and a copycat, while playing a true hipster herself. There is some truth to this, and I, of course, have a soft spot for M.I.A. I don't give a damn about Gaga.
But any music lover who plays the video above will inevitably be reminded of the band Suicide and wonder: how is M.I.A.'s work any different from Gaga's in that case?
