We Rode to Aglona with an Overnight Stay

We rode for two days, spending the night in a tent.

Report on a 110.4 km ride with graphs showing speed (green line) and elevation (brown line) over distance, as well as a text summary with a total time of 9 hr 38 min, an average speed of 11 km/h, and a total elevation gain of 2,538 m.

We spent a lot of time on dirt roads; overall, it was pretty good, and we saw all sorts of interesting things. I’m usually skeptical of the slogan “Developing rural ecotourism in Latvia,” but the Aglona region is genuinely cool.

Explanations and photos later. God knows when, because the working week is starting.  But we really did a lot today: 110 km, probably half of it on dirt roads. I got sunburned, of course.
