I didn't have any plans, but the punk talked me into it.
As a result, without meaning to, I rode 70 km in a little over three hours (moving time). Average speed - 20 km/h. I'm bringing this up because people are always asking me how fast we ride. Now you know - 20 km/h on the asphalt. In reality it's often faster, hell knows why the bike computer shows that - hills get in the way, or my periodic stops to wait for the punk. On dirt roads we go much slower, all the way down to a walking pace.
In general, if we rode faster, we'd be covering not 100 km a day, but a solid 150. I don't feel quite heroic enough yet to grind out such distances on dirt roads.
By the way, Depo has bike bags for 12 lats a pair, a colleague gave me a tip, and we checked it out today. I also wanted to add an extra carabiner to my bike bags, but Depo didn't have one that would suit me perfectly.
Also, it was so hot today that I actually felt sick. But it's fine, as soon as I started riding, I felt better and from then on everything was great. We took a dip in Lake Sasaļu, but skipped the no-name lake on the bypass, it was packed with humans. Like all the bodies of water around the city, though.
Now, though, it's going to suck - work tomorrow, and I can't sleep in such heat, I only manage to fall asleep at one or two in the morning.
