Finished watching the anime Spice And Wolf yesterday.
The anime is a bit unconventional, in the sense that it's about trade rather than fighting. There is some soul-searching and looking for deep meaning out of nowhere, too, but in moderation.
The plot is simple. On a medieval planet, a traveling merchant named Kraft Lawrence one fine day discovers a naked girl with a tail and ears sleeping among the pelts in his wagon. The girl rather bluntly explains to the simpleton that she is a goddess named Holo, who looks after the harvest in the village: sometimes making it bountiful, sometimes less so, to let the land rest. But the local peasants stopped appreciating her, so she decided to leave, which is why she chose his wagon.
Holo the Wise Wolf
Mistrustful and rational by nature, Lawrence skeptically thinks the girl has lost her mind, to which she transforms into a wolf. The sight turns out to be so terrifying and impressive that the merchant takes Holo with him and pledges to take her to her homeland, which is located far in the north.
As the plot develops, we learn that Holo, despite calling herself "the Wise" and her respectable multi-centennial age, sometimes acts like a teenager. Always teasing Lawrence
