Every afternoon, a young man appears outside the State Duma. Vadik. Along Georgievsky Lane, he pushes a cart carrying five bottles of drinking water to the Duma’s tenth entrance. He shows his pass, takes the bottles into the building without waiting in line, delivers them to the required floors, goes back downstairs, puts on his hat, and heads off to fetch the next batch of water. The procedure is repeated several dozen times. Bottles of water are carried inside, and empty ones are taken outside.
So I had a thought. What if we corrupt Vadik and add 70–100 drops of LSD to every bottle? It would cost a lot, but I think we could raise the money for this step toward the development of democracy and civil society through Olga Romanova’s online wallet. Then we would all suddenly wake up in a completely different country. And that would be priceless.
