We live as long as we fly

Personal year in review: 2022

My 💻 broke down, and the posts about Valencia I so carefully prepared for you are postponed into the indefinite future.

Maybe this is a good reason to wrap up 2022. I don't think I should be horrified by the events of this year. First of all, there are plenty of people to do that without me. Secondly, for the New Year, you want positivity, not another dose of doomscrolling.

For me, this year was clearly better than the last few. I have an interesting new project at work, and for now, I'm back to working full-time. I'm improving my skills, growing.

I visited a bunch of countries: Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain, Belarus, and a little bit of the Netherlands. And not alone, but with family, friends, and colleagues. I have a nice new 🚲 that I'm absolutely loving. I rode it quite a lot, both alone and with buddies. My health is nothing to write home about, of course, but 💊 somehow allow me to live not quite in hell, like before. I even made an attempt to lose weight, and a pretty real one, but it has failed so far. I'll try again, this time - with the help of an exercise bike. I started regularly writing in the blog again, which brings me pleasure and joy, because it's a creative outlet. With a good camera on my 📱, it's nice to look at what happened in my life (and show it to others).

As for everyday life, I'm glad that before buying a new one, I tried to fix my broken washing machine. I didn't have the energy for the dishwasher. I also fixed my expensive 🎧: bought new batteries and swapped them out. And I bought good little ear tips so the little earbuds wouldn't fall out of my little ears.

There are a bunch of downsides too. I am not finishing my 🏘 renovations, like, at all. I get really tired on weekdays, and therefore do almost nothing besides work. I still read way too much random crap on the internet, even in bed, and sleep poorly. I didn't invest my 💰 very well, even though I gave good advice to others. My teeth are constantly breaking from bruxism and a love for sweets, and the latest break will cost me 1.5k for an implant. I rarely go visit my parents, and it seems I didn't really manage to connect with my nieces on the trip to Italy.

You only live once and it's better to act at least somehow, if doing it perfectly doesn't work out. No need to be perfectionists or perfectionistas (by the way, I started using feminitives more). Get moving!

Happy New Year!
