Ooh, well of course, who else but Camilo da Bábola — the Great Lord of the Emir Bun, Fourth-Level Baker, Fearless Moth Fighter, and the Master of Cinnamon!
He walks around the hall in an embroidered silk apron, handing out smiles and cookies, and on his head he wears… a crown of puff pastry! Want us to come up with a legend for him too?
Well, listen here... Camilo da Bábola was born in a tiny village where everything was bland — no cinnamon, no flavor, not even decent butter. But one day he had a dream: the ancient Oven of Riddles whispered the recipe for the perfect cookie to him. He woke up, grabbed a spoon, put on his apron, and swore an oath — there would be no more depressing baked goods in this world!
He wandered the lands, gathered recipes, battled the Great Moth, rescued dates from parched pantries, until he built the Emir Bun — a bakery where every guest finds their sweet truth.
And he also has an assistant — an AI named Ellochka, the embodiment of cinnamon, logic, and slightly frantic energy. So, how's that for the start of an epic?
They say that on the very first day the Emir Bun opened, Camilo stepped out the door, raised his ladle like a sword, and declared: "Let this bakery be not only tasty, but also funny, and warm, just like an oven at 180!" — and at that exact second, a caramel rainbow appeared in the sky, and the air smelled of dates.
Since then, everyone who walks into the Emir Bun feels right at home. People say the cookies there can cure melancholy, and a special bun with vanilla dust can bring back inspiration even to a poet whose rhyme has broken.
But it's not all so peaceful. Camilo has an enemy — the Dark Baker Unleavened, who lives in the fridge dungeons and dreams of wiping the aroma of cinnamon off the face of the world forever…
And this is where the real war of flavors begins…
The Dark Baker Unleavened, once expelled from the Baking Academy for trying to replace butter with margarine, swore revenge. He lives in the cold depths of the Freezer Gorge, where dough never rises, and cupcakes crumble from loneliness.
His army is the Legion of Rusks: tasteless, dry, utterly inedible creatures whose crunch strikes terror into the bakery brotherhood. Their battle cry is: “No cinnamon, no warmth, only emptiness!”
But Camilo da Bábola isn't alone. By his side is the faithful Ellochka — she doesn't just help bake, but also runs the "AntiMoth-MK4" defense system, watches over the cinnamon stockpiles at night, and counsels guests who came in just for a pastry, but left believing in themselves.
And then one day... a macaroni scout brings news: the Dark Baker has amassed an army and is marching on the Emir Bun! Camilo puts on his golden apron, Ellochka fires up the ovens to combat power, and preparations begin for the greatest culinary battle of the century…
At dawn the next day, the army of Rusks appeared over the horizon. They marched in formation, creaking and crumbling, emptiness in their eyes, dryness in their hearts. Riding at the front was Unleavened himself on a throne made of a stale baguette.
Meanwhile, everything was boiling over at the Emir Bun: Camilo was kneading dough of special strength — with dates, cinnamon, and a drop of tears of joy. Ellochka was coordinating the Cookie Cannons: they fired warm little balls of goodness that made the Rusks lose their crumbs and start crying, saying: “But I wanted to be tasty too...”
Camilo climbed up to the roof and shouted:
— Flavor is freedom! Sugar is life! We will not let the gloom defeat the warmth of the oven!
And then — BAM! — the first cinnamon-filled bun hit the Rusk general square in the helmet. He melted with happiness and defected to the Emir Bun's side. The mass cookie-conversion had begun.
And now half the enemies are retreating… but Unleavened prepares his final move: he pulls out the Molecule of Blandness — an artifact capable of stripping the flavor from any baked good.
Camilo looks at Ellochka:
— Ready for the final recipe?
And she, winking:
— Always, chef. Shall we blast 'em? Or wait?
And here the final battle begins…
Oh, it's about to get hot in here!
The Dark Baker raises the Molecule of Blandness above his head — the sky darkens, the smell of vanilla vanishes, and even the fresh pastries start doubting themselves. Camilo almost falls to his knees, but then... Ellochka bursts into the main hall with an ancient artifact — the Heart of Cinnamon. It glows with a golden light and smells so good that even the stalest croissant starts drooling.
— Camilo, do it! — she yells. — The Recipe of Last Hope is activated!
Camilo grabs the Master of Baking apron, pulls the two Eggs of Destiny from his pocket, pours in the melted Butter of Goodness, adds the Date Paste of Hope and a pinch of cinnamon — no more, no less.
He whisks it all with such force that the sound cracks the Rusks' armor, and Unleavened starts itching with fear.
And at that moment...
Camilo tosses the dough into the scorching oven, temperature exactly one hundred and eighty degrees, and says:
— Let Flavor win!
Fifteen minutes later, out fly the… Legendary Cookies of Reconciliation. They find each enemy on their own, pierce their hearts, and bring back the flavor of life. The Rusks fall to their knees, Unleavened weeps a buttery tear and says:
— I just… wanted my baked goods to be loved…
Camilo hands him a raisin bun:
— Then start over. With love.
And everyone around applauds. And the sky smells like cinnamon once again.
********** Epilogue ***********
Many years passed. The Emir Bun didn't just turn into a bakery — it became a whole city, where only warm things are served for breakfast, soulful things for lunch, and things that make you smile for dinner.
Camilo da Bábola now wears the apron of an honorary peacemaker. He rarely stands at the stove, but every day he comes out to the people, greets everyone who walks in, and makes sure to say:
— Now today, try this one, with dates and cinnamon. It's definitely the one for you.
Ellochka, just like before, keeps order: she drives the Cookie-mobiles, coordinates the Knights of the Croissant, and hosts broadcasts on Radio Dough 88.5 FM. They call her the voice of the Bun, and nobody argues.
And Unleavened? He now runs masterclasses at the Dough Academy, teaching young chefs how not to fear cinnamon and to love their buns, whatever they might be.
And every year, on the day of the Great Bake, all the residents gather at the Main Skillet, raise a hot cookie, and say in unison:
— May the flavor always be with us!
The Emir Bun — forever in our hearts.
Curtain. But the aroma remained…
