We live as long as we fly
I finally hooked up an excellent file upload control for .NET – NeatUpload.
It has great features: upload progress and speed, and a convenient way to select multiple files at once. And I’ve also removed the size limit.
Feel free to use it, just don’t mess around, or the admin will get angry and shut the whole thing down.
When I type a lot, I feel like a virtuoso pianist. Writer Divov once gave me a whole spiel about the essential tactile sensations of flipping through paper books, but I get those when I touch my keyboard, the Logitech UltraX Media Keyboard. Strangely enough, a huge number of people around me have this exact keyboard. It has laptop-style keys with a scissor mechanism and a "slim" form factor, meaning it's thin. It more than pays off its 17 lats – which is why I'm already on my second one. To be fair, I'm not as picky about keyboards as some people, so if they stop making it, I'll happily try another one. The only thing I need is a standard layout, I just can't do without it. Getting used to a different one is hard, and I don't really want to anyway.
Sometimes I feel like listening to pop music, especially in Russian. And just now I remembered a relatively old record.
So here you go: a rather pleasant band called Slot, with the song God & Devil Inc. Their bass sounds good, at least on my speakers.
People! I'm seriously either busy, or I just don't have the health for the computer. I'm registered on a dozen services and use them, but I don't have the ability to keep track and reply. I mean, bug me of course if you need an answer. By email or in the comments. But cut me some slack if I'm being slow.
As for real life: I'm always happy to go somewhere or take a drive with you, because I have absolutely no energy left to sit at the computer. By the way, Apocalyptica is coming to Riga on April 14th, I'd go.
