Was coming back from Aglona, got caught in a hurricane. It passed in 15 minutes, sure, but it caused some trouble. In one place it was impossible to drive through, a power line was hanging right above the ground. The reckless ones still plowed through. And we fell short of the bus stop by 40 meters, ran into the bushes so we wouldn't get blown away - that's how strong the wind was.
Latvia - a trip to Aglona
On Sunday we were in Aglona. By car, for a change. This will only be interesting to the participants, and even then, highly unlikely.
Latvia - bike trip to Pilskalnes Siguldiņa
I've already been there a couple of times, but today I decided to hike the entire big trail, which we successfully did. We rode there along not exactly easy dirt and forest roads, and took the regular highway from Svente back. In total, the GPS shows 76 km, but out of those, we walked 12 km, drove 6 by car, and only the remaining 58 were on the bike.

Bike Trip to Zarasai
Last weekend we went to Lithuania. The plan was to see the town of Zarasai, the surroundings, and the Stelmužė Oak located nearby. Other sights were a bit too far away, or their coordinates were impossible to find. Even in our age of GPS dominance, coordinates are still forever missing on websites. The state-run ones are understandable, they're always lagging behind progress, but why private campsites and museums don't put them up is a mystery.
The expedition crew: me, punk, and Olya https://voljushka.livejournal.com/, who is supposedly going to make a video. On the first day we also had silent Sergey with us, about whom I know absolutely nothing.
