I think I'll continue on the topic of food. So, about the restaurant. I've already written about the opening hours, so I'll get straight to the food and all that. First of all, the system is like this: breakfast doesn't have all that much and tastes so-so, lunch is bigger and tastier, and dinner is just really good.

Crete — 8, Kournas lake

We were actually planning to rent a car and drive around the island, but since that hadn't happened yet, we had to rent a steam train. Did you notice, by the way, how smoothly I adopted the flashfuture technique from season 4 of the already tiresome TV series Lost? A flashfuture is like a flashback, only in reverse, into the future. Do you know, by the way, what setting your teeth on edge actually means? This concept definitely has a connection to the fact that I can't eat a lot of apples or berries. The acids in them make your teeth ache when you chew, and then for several hours you can't put anything in your mouth at all.  Although good old Ushakov disagrees with me.

To set one's teeth on edge — to get an astringent sensation in the mouth after eating something sour or tart, or to tire one's mouth out by prolonged chewing of something.

Про Крит

Вы вообще комментируйте, да, особенно кто на Крите был (а таковых я знаю аж 9 человек, ещё про двух слышал). Рэмбо делаю скидку, он печатает однопальцевым методом. Хотя бы мог бы и жену притащить, ей наверное тоже интересно сравнить впечатления.

Crete — 6, All-inclusive and the beach bar

So, after we went to Kavros and sent the postcards, it became possible to start relaxing. Especially since Andryukha kept repeating the whole first day: "I want to adapt." This amused me quite a bit, because lying on the beach and downing drinkz is a rather entertaining kind of adaptation.
