Dream - an impostor in a family of swindlers and the White House
I dreamed today that I secretly infiltrated a family-gang of crooks and swindlers, replacing the father of the family.
Like in the song "Formalin" by the band Flёur:
*She swims in formalin, the imperfection of lines,
Moving gradually.
I have her face her name, the same blue sweater,
No one noticed the substitution.
Calories in a portion of Fish&Chips from Grill&Grill
I like the Fish&Chips from Grill&Grill in Stropy. I'm counting calories these days, and when I weighed the fries from the delivery, they came out to 560 grams! Together with the breaded fish, that's almost 2000 calories, which is the basic daily requirement for a smaller guy (or a guy trying to lose weight). One meal!
It's absolutely nuts that portion sizes like this are considered normal. Not just in the US anymore, but here too. I ended up throwing out half the fries. That's how we win!
Metal concert in support of Ukraine
Yesterday there was a concert in support of Ukraine. My mood in the morning was bad, and I almost decided to skip it. Then I remembered that it's always like this with me. And that hanging out is always generally a positive thing and does wonders for the mood. I forced myself to go and set off. I thought I'd walk to catch up on my step goals, but the water pouring from the sky was just a bit too noticeable.
As it turned out, that's exactly what happened with my mood. At first, I was somewhat awkwardly keeping up the conversation at our gang's gathering point. I couldn't resist the temptation and devoured not only the two Karums glazed curds I'd brought with me, but also a piece of local cake. Unfortunately, for some reason I didn't get to try the freshly baked Easter kulich, even though it seemed like it was just ready.
