Iceland — 21, day 10 — Crisis

While we were in Landmannalaugar, the ranger told us that riding to Reykjavik on Route 1 isn't exactly the most thrilling experience. The highway is just slightly less than completely packed with traffic, and the surrounding landscapes don't offer much variety. The best option is to sneak along the coast, where a wonderful new paved highway has recently been built, wide and deserted. So we agreed on that, especially since our time margin allowed it — after all, we had a total of 14 full days at our disposal. True, Andrey was incredibly eager to reach Reykjavik before Saturday night to enjoy the boiling and bubbling nightlife of the capital, but here it's like in the joke about artificial insemination — we'll see how it goes.

Фестиваль Лес Звуков 2012: день 1

Недавно в Риге прошёл фестиваль неприрученной музыки “Лес Звуков”, причём в десятый раз, юбилейный. Мы туда ездили уже в пятый раз, если не в шестой. Коротко запишу свои впечатления. Фото все с easyget.lv

Первый день проходил в кинотеатре “Splendid Palace”, бывшем “Рига”. Рядом (около фойе кинотеатра) находится винный ресторан “TINTO Vina Telpa”, который около входа в большой зал продавал вино и круассаны, поэтому многие посетители фестиваля держали в руках огромные бокалы с красной жидкостью. Чуть позже и я вступил в их ряды.
